Samar Jha, the AARP national government affairs director, is joining the Age-Friendly Omaha initiative.
She will speak at a forum on affordable housing Wednesday, April 29, at 6 p.m. at the Omaha Central Library. The event is titled “Generations x Place.”
Omaha is bidding to join Grand Island and Lincoln as a third Nebraska city in the AARP network of Age-Friendly Communities.
Jha leads AARP’s local and state housing advocacy for its 50 state offices.
Julie Kaminski, the CEO of Immanuel Communities, will be a panelist.
Forum attendance is free. Registration is required online through Eventbrite.
