Have you attended an event at Schwab Field, the ballpark built for the College World Series?
In attending the Big Ten championship game there today, I was surprised that folding currency is mostly, or totally, not accepted.
A cell phone is apparently required in the purchase of a ticket. The agent texts you the ticket.

With Nebraska not playing, the crowd was sparse, announced as 13,000, a generous count in a ballpark seating 24,000. With Nebraska losing in the semifinals, the crowd became what the late Morrie Shadle of The World-Herald Sports staff called next of kin.
With my Husker cap on, I didn’t fit that. In the row behind me, an elderly couple sat in Husker red. They probably were expecting Nebraska to be playing. Their cousins in that category stayed away in droves.
An unexpected bonus was the great game. UCLA beat Oregon 3-2 in 11 innings.
